Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I love the close proximity to town, we were only 3 minutes away. I also really like Neil, who was helping with the priority while the owners were gone. He is really funny and very nice and I enjoyed our conversations. I absolutely loved the friendly kitty that greeted me every day. I missed my kitties so I was happy to give this kitty my love (and food and water). Bring kitty food if you go ;) AC and fridge is a plus

Negative: The description in the ad did not match the lodging at all. It was called a romantic villa with a bathroom, kitchenette, mini bar and BBQ. I was in #2. There is definitely no kitchenette so I assume they meant the small cart w 2 plates but no utensils and the coffee maker that had mold so thick inside I assume it has been there for a year or more. There was no mini bar so they must be referring to the small fridge. I didn’t even know there would be other cabins next to me but there are. These are plywood cabins with no insulation so thank goodness for the AC. However, AC doesn’t work if they didn’t get enough sun because they are off grid and on solar. We lost all power for a good 12 hours. There was only a toilet but no sink or shower in the room. You had to go outside and across the driveway to use a freestanding shower which only has an on and off switch (might not be grounded). We were actually ok with it all because we don’t need a lot but I was definitely shocked because the description did not match at all. I had to double check that we were in the right place. The owner texted with me and was very nice and open to suggestions so my suggestion is just to be very honest in the description and to price it appropriately. People will still come because it’s close to town and there’s not much available around there. At least with an honest ad no one will be disappointed. I’m still happy we went and stayed up north, we had a great time exploring that side of the island. I miss the kitty there too.
